RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR A 2023 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT
FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the safety of firefighters is a priority in the City of Santa Maria; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria has determined that it is in the public interest to seek and apply for supplemental funding sources for the purposes of public safety; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOL VED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. The City Manager or designee, is hereby authorized to submit a grant application, appropriate and expend funds awarded to the Santa Maria Fire Department pursuant to the Assis tance to Firefighters Grant Program; and
2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
