Santa Maria Fire Department responds to over 12,300 calls, for service, annually to the 110,000 residents of the City of Santa Maria. The firefighters respond from six fire stations strategically located throughout the City. These facilities see a substantial amount of physical wear due to use. Preventative and routine maintenance help keep stations in operable condition, but replacements and updates increase the durability and longevity of facilities. The fire department has instituted a program to inspect fire facilities on an annual basis to ensure maintenance issues are identified and corrected promptly.
