SUBJECT: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 2024 -03 Amending Chapter 12-35 of Title 12 – Zoning, of the City of Santa Maria Municipal Code
Description:
The City Council will conduct the second reading to adopt Ordinance No. 2024 -03, to amend Chapter 12 -35, Article 5, Section 12 -35.501, "Reconsideration of Discretionary Permits,” and add a new Section 12-35.504, “Permit Revocation,” to Title 12 – Zoning, of the City of Santa Maria Municipal Code.
Environmental Notice: The item is e xempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5).
RECOMMENDATION:
Conduct the second reading and adop t Ordinance No. 2024 -03, to amend Chapter 12- 35, Article 5, Section 12 -35.501, “Reconsideration of Discretionary Permits,” and to add a new Section 12-35.504, “Permit Revocation,” to Title 12 – Zoning of the City of Santa Maria Municipal Code.
BACKGROUND:
At its regular meeting held on March 19, 2024, the City Council received a staff presentation, conducted a public hearing, and introduced Ordinance No. 2024-04 for the first reading to amend Chapter 12 -35, Article 5, Section 12 -35.501, “Reconsideration of Discretionary Permits,” and to add a new Section 12-35.504, “Permit Revocation,” to Title 12 – Zoning of the City of Santa Maria Municipal Code.
DISCUSSION:
This constitutes the second reading of Ordinance No. 2024 -03. This Ordinance will become effective 30 days after City Council approval.
