RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN OPERATING AGREEMENT WITH UNITED WAY OF
NORTHERN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City is committed to reducing homelessness and minimizing the impacts of homelessness in Santa Barbara County by collaborating with neighboring agencies and sharing resources; and
WHEREAS, Home for Good has special knowledge and expertise.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1) The Operating Agreement with United Way is hereby approved, retroactive to July 1, 2024; and
2) The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized and directed to pay the United Way the sum of:
Prior to January 1, 2025 ................................................................. $15,000 After January 1, 2025, and prior to June 30, 2025 ........................... 15,000 2024-25 Total $30,000
Prior to January 1, 2026 ................................................................. $15,000 After January 1, 2026, and prior to June 30, 2026 ........................... 15,000 2025-26 Total $30,000
3) The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Operating Agreement on behalf of the City; and
4) The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chi ef Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
