RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA,
CALIFORNIA, REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE SANTA MARIA SPORTS COMPLEX PROJECT, BID NO. 2024-06
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria formally advertised for bids for Santa Maria Sports Complex Project, Bid No. 2024-06; and
WHEREAS, the Notice Inviting Bids was published and posted in compliance with applicable sections of the Public Contract Code; and
WHEREAS, bids were publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 2024, on Planet Bids; and
WHEREAS, the low bid was found to be higher than budgeted funds available for the Santa Maria Sports Complex Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. That the bids submitted on September 19, 2024, as the Santa Maria Sports Complex Project, Bid No. 2024-06 all be rejected; and
2. That the project be evaluated, amended and readvertised.
3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
