RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING A 2014 FORD EXPLORER K9 VEHICLE, ASSET NUMBER F3419-14 (LICENSE 1426441), AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND APPROVING ITS DONATION TO THE SANTA MARIA FIREFIGHTERS BENEVOLENT FOUNDATION.
WHEREAS, the Santa Maria Police Department has determined a police K9 vehicle to be surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the donation of the K9 vehicle will allow the Santa Maria Firefighters Benevolent Foundation to provide peer support services; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Maria Firefighters Benevolent Foundation and the community would benefit from the use of such property.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. One 2014 Ford Explorer is hereby declared as surplus property and said surplus property is authorized to be donated to the Santa Maria Firefighters Benevolent Foundation for use in the community; and
2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
