RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
DONATION OF TWO EXTRACTORS AND FITNESS EQUIPMENT
TO THE SANTA MARIA FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM
THE ONE805 ORGANIZATION
WHEREAS, the One805 organization has donated two extractors and fitness equipment with a combined estimated value of $50,071; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 37354 provides that the City Council may accept any gift, bequest, or devise made to or for the City, or to or for any of its offices in their official capacity, or in trust for any public purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City’s Gift and/or Donation Policy, requires offers of donations valued at more than $25,000 must be accepted by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Accept the donation of extractors and fitness equipment from the One805 organization with an estimated value of $50,071, and direct the Cit y Manager or designee, to prepare a letter of appreciation to the One 805 organization; and
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the inte nt of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
