While the artwork for the Railroad and Depot Community Connections Project is yet to be designed, we will be working with the local community to develop the crosswalk's appearance. Here are examples of successful crosswalk art projects in other cities:
Long Beach, California: Crosswalks featuring sea life paintings reflect the City's coastal heritage and enhance pedestrian visibility.
Wheeling, West Virginia: Creative crosswalks, such as fish skeleton designs, brighten up the Centre Market area, contributing to the City's cultural vibrancy.
These examples demonstrate how crosswalk art can enhance safety, reflect local culture, and foster community pride, serving as valuable references for our project.
