As a proud winery and restaurant owner of the Santa Ynez Valley and native-born Santa Marian, I want to encourage Santa Maria to join all of us Santa Barbara County vintners in support of the Wine BID and ask that you vote to have Santa Maria included in the Countywide Wine BID. Santa Maria is a vital part of our wine community and deserves to team up with us
in marketing efforts that will support our wine sales and visitation to our region, helping our local economy.
These are tough times for wineries, restaurants and many local businesses. But I'm convinced it is not a time to shy away from promoting our glorious region and its wines.
I have witnessed firsthand (with the film Sideways) what promotion and marketing can do. It is costly and very hard work, but it pays dividends that last forever.
And I know our customers that buy our wines. They love our region and continue to return year after year. I am convinced they will
support us with this 1% added to their purchases. Please allow our customers to help us by supporting our marketing efforts.
Please let the wineries of Santa Maria be included in these join marketing efforts with all of us in Santa Barbara County.
