SUBJECT: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 202 4-08 Amending the Official Zoning Map for the Bellecrest Senior Residences Project at 1571 East Main Street
Description:
The City Council will conduct the second reading to adopt Ordinance No. 202 4-08, amending the Official Zoning Map for 14.43 acres (net) located at 1571 East Main Street.
Environmental Notice: Environmental Review for this project was completed through the preparation of an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (SCH #2024090050) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines.
RECOMMENDATION:
Conduct the second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 202 4-08 amending the Official Zoning Map for 14.43 acres (net) located at 1571 East Main Street from PD/R-1 (Planned Development/Single Family Residential) Zone District to PD/R -2 (Planned Development/Medium Density Residential) Zone District.
BACKGROUND:
At its regular meeting held on December 17, 2024, the City Council received a staff presentation, conducted a public hearing, and introduced Ordinance No. 2024-08 for the first reading to amend the Zoning Map for 14.43 acres from PD/R-1 to PD/R-2.
DISCUSSION:
This constitutes the second reading of Ordinance No. 202 4-08. This ordinance will become effective 30 days after City Council approval.
