SUBJECT: Presentation – Fire Department Readiness
The City Council will receive a presentation regarding Fire Department readiness to respond to emergencies within the City.
BACKGROUND:
In light of the recent wildland fires in Los Angeles County, it is appropriate to address the readiness of the Fire Department to respond to similar emergencies.
DISCUSSION:
Fire Chief Bradley Dandridge will discuss how the Fire Department’s staffing, resource allocation, and training ensures its readiness to respond to a variety of emergencies within the City. In addition, Chief Dandridge will discuss the department’s fire pr evention program and the mutual aid agreements to ensure the safety of residents and visitors in the City of Santa Maria.
