A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT AND
SUCCESSOR MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE
SANTA MARIA POLICE OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION AND APPROVING
AND RATIFYING THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT AND SUCCESSOR
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE SANTA MARIA
POLICE ASSOCIATION OF MIDDLE MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to a compensation policy that strengthens the recruitment and retention of well-qualified employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager assembled wage and benefits packages incorporated herein, that outlines and delineates the benefits structure for these employees consistent with other employee bargaining groups.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The proposed Tentative Agreement and Successor Memorandums of Understanding with the Santa Maria Police Officers’ Association and the Santa Maria Police Association of Middle Management, is hereby authorized and approved; and
SECTION 2. That all changes provided by the Successor Memorandum s of Understanding with the Santa Maria Police Officers’ Association and the Santa Maria Police Association of Middle Management shall be carried out and is effective herewith in the manner provided therein; and
SECTION 3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
