Recognizing City of Santa Maria
Hometown Heroes
2025
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
The Santa Maria Hometown Heroes Program was created in
2016 to honor Santa Maria residents who serve or have served in the military.
In 2021 the program was updated to include local heroes fighting battles closer to home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beginning summer 2025, the Hometown Heroes program will revert to exclusively honor military service members, including active-duty personnel, veterans, and fallen heroes
