SUBJECT: Proclamation – “Future Farmers of America Week ” – February 15 through 22, 2025
The City Council will recognize the week of February 15 through 22, 2025, as “Future Farmers of America Week” in the City of Santa Maria and encourage awareness in the City.
BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1928, the Future Farmers of America (FFA) brought together students, teachers, and agribusiness to solidify support for agricultural education. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA also gives direction and purpose to students who take an active role in agricultural education.
