RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA AS THE
ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR COMPLIANCE WITH
CALIFORNIA ASSEMBLY BILL 1276 (AB 1276), SINGLE-USE
FOODWARE ACCESSORIES AND STANDARD CONDIMENTS
WHEREAS, all California jurisdictions are required to authorize an enforcement agency to enforce the requirements of California Assembly Bill 1276, Single -Use Foodware Accessories and Standard Condiments (AB 1276); and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria is required to authorize an enforcement agency to enforce the requirements under AB 1276; and
WHEREAS, California Public Resources Code Section 42272 designates the required enforcement actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1 . The City of Santa Maria is hereby authorized as the enforcement agency for AB 1276; and
SECTION 2 . The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
