RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN BOTH
NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENTS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
GAS COMPANY, INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE
CHIEF DEPUTY CITY CLERK TO CERTIFY THE EASEMENTS
AND FORWARD THE EASEMENTS TO THE COUNTY CLERK-
RECORDER FOR OFFICIAL RECORDATION
WHEREAS, the proposed non-exclusive easements for encroachment purposes have been reviewed for technical accuracy by the City Surveyor; and
WHEREAS, the appraisal performed by Kidder Mathews, dated January 22, 2025, has been reviewed by the Public Works Department and the appraised value was found to be appropriate; and
WHEREAS, Southern California Gas Company, Inc. has paid the City of Santa Maria the appraised value and required easement recordation processing fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The proposed non-exclusive easements for encroachment purposes in the form on file with the Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby approved, and the Mayor, or in the Mayor's absence the City Manager, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
