RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
AND UNCOLLECTIBLE DEBT POLICY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria provides various services to the community for which it recovers costs through fees; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended to adopt the Accounts Receivable and Uncollectible Debt policy to set parameters for the collection of fees and bad debt write-off procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Accounts Receivable and Uncollectible Debt policy shall be placed in effect on April 15, 2025.
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult wi th the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
