SUBJECT: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 2025-02 Designating Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the City of Santa Maria
Description:
The City Council will conduct the second reading to adopt Ordinance No. 2025-02 designating Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the City of Santa Maria.
Environmental Notice: The activity is not a “Project” as defined under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines; therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3) no environmental review is required.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Ordinance No. 2025-02 Designating Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the City of Santa Maria.
BACKGROUND:
At its regular meeting held April 15, 2025, the City Council received a staff presentation, conducted a public hearing, and introduced Ordinance No. 2025-02 designating Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the City of Santa Maria.
DISCUSSION:
This constitutes the second reading of Ordinance No. 2025-02. This ordinance will become effective 30 days after City Council approval.
