SUBJECT: Presentation - Quarterly Economic Development Impact Report by Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, January through March
The City Council will receive a presentation from the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce on the Economic Development endeavors for the quarter of January through March of Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Santa Maria partners with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce to attract visitors to the city and provide economic development enhancement and support within the city. In exchange for these services, the Chamber receives a portion of the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) from the City.
DISCUSSION:
The Chamber supports economic growth and development in the Santa Maria Valley region. Throughout the quarter, the Chamber provided direct assistance to nine potential new businesses and eleven local enterprises.
