A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
FOR FISCAL YEARS 2025-2029
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria has been a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program entitlement city for 51 consecutive years; and WHEREAS, a Five-Year Consolidated Plan is required to be prepared and submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan was prepared following extensive public outreach, research, and followed the City’s adopted “CDBG Citizen Participation Plan ” as required by HUD.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the Five-Year Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Years 2025-29; and
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents on behalf of the City of Santa Maria for application of the funds; and
SECTION 3. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized to make minor changes to the Annual Action Plan to expedite the use of funding so long as the changes follow the City’s CDBG Citizen Participation Plan; and
SECTION 4. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance with the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
