A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26
BUDGET IMPLEMENTING A FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 THIRD
QUARTER AMENDMENT, CONFIRMING THE AMENDMENT
FOR THE HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT CLEANUP PROJECT,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN OPERATIONAL NEED IDENTIFIED
AFTER THE BUDGET WAS ADOPTED
WHEREAS, certain personnel and operational issues are brought forward for the Cit y Council’s consideration throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended to amend the 2025-26 budget for subsequent appropriations, actions, and costs as determined to be in the public’s best interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Increase allocation of one (1) Full-Time Lead Customer Service Technician position and appropriations by $115,000 in the Water Fund for the Utilities Department’s Water Resources Division.
SECTION 2. Increase appropriations in the General Fund by $ 25,000 for the Public Works Department’s Homeless Safety/Quality of Life Project.
SECTION 3. Increase appropriations in the Federal/State Asset Forfeiture Fund by $70,000 for the purchase of the replacement of a 16’ Ford Van (#356-08).
SECTION 4. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
