Recognizing City of Santa Maria
Hometown Heroes
2025
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
The Santa Maria Hometown Heroes Program was proudly
launched in 2016 to honor the courage and commitment of local residents who have served, or are currently serving, in the military.
In 2021, the program was expanded to recognize everyday heroes who stepped up in extraordinary ways during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking ahead, beginning in Winter 2026, the Hometown
Heroes Program will refocus on its original purpose—
celebrating the bravery, dedication, and public service of our military veterans and uniformed service members who continue to make our community proud.

Since the inception of the program, over 200 Hometown Heroes have been recognized and honored.
Tonight, we honor eight of Santa Maria’s finest Hometown Heroes.
