A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
AWARDING A PURCHASING AGREEMENT TO THE
ReDESIGN GROUP FOR UPGRADING THE CITY’S
HYPERCONVERGED COMPUTER INFRASTRUCTURE
WHEREAS, the City’s existing hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) has passed its useful life; and
WHEREAS, the HCI is the critical foundation of the City’s information technology systems; and
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division conducted a months-long review of similar technologies and concluded that the propos ed system from The ReDesign Group is the best fit for the City’s information systems; and
WHEREAS, the proposed HCI system will be purchased using the N ational Association of State Procurement Officials’ ValuePoint competitively sourced products in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approving a Purchasing Agreement to The ReDesign Group for a hyperconverged infrastructure system for a purchase price of $1,312,440.31; and
SECTION 2. Authorizing the City Manager or designee to execute the Purchase Agreement;
SECTION 3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
