A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
AWARDING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO
BBG, INC., FOR ON-CALL RIGHT-OF-WAY APPRAISAL
SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requires Right of Way Appraisal Services to support the acquisition of property rights necessary for various capital improvement projects and other public works-related efforts within the City; and
WHEREAS, such services include appraising properties, preparing appraisal reports, negotiating with property owners, preparing acquisition documents, assisting with escrow and title work, and providing project management, tracking, an d clerical support; and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 2025, the City issued a Request for Proposals for On - Call Right of Way Appraisal Services via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, PlanetBids, with proposals due on April 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, following a Request for Proposals process, BBG, Inc. was determined to be responsive and the most qualified firm to provide the required Right of Way Appraisal Services;.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Authorize City Manager, or designee , to approve and execute, on behalf of the City, a Professional Services Agreement with BBG, Inc., in the amount of $300,000 for On-Call Right-of-Way Appraisal; and
SECTION 2 . The C hief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
