I can’t believe you want to increase our taxes. You are accountable to us! I promise not to vote for you again!
Third Tuesday of the month. September 16, 2025 will be your crazy vote. This should not have been allowed to be on your docket!!!
The rich should get richer? Where did you dream that up? The two people asking for more money are relaxing in an air conditioned office, probably with a secretary doing the work.
They are the ones who should be thankful for what they are getting paid and will be humiliated by going public.
You have many talented and honest city employees and managers who daily do their jobs with precision and dedication day after day. Who do you think gets the work completed for Santa Maria? Do you know any of them?
I know Carlos is amazing at volunteering his time and energy to communities and local organizations (like Serve Santa Maria). Shad’s staff are here at our senior park (of over 400 residents) like clockwork to do their jobs.
In any other state I’ve lived (CA, AZ, WYO, WA, VA we are asked to vote for our City Council. The increase to them and expense to me assures you of being out of your position with the next election.
PLEASE don’t be stupid!
