BACKGROUND:

Each year, as a component of the City’s membership in the League of California Citie s, Voting Delegates are appointed to represent the City’s position on resolutions at the Annual Business Meeting of the League’s Annual Conference. This year’s annual conference is being held from Wednesday, October 8 th through Friday, October 10 th, 2025, in Long Beach, California.

Before the League meeting, a city must have its City Council designate a voting delegate and alternate (in the event the voting delegate cannot serve in that capacity) to vote at the Annual Business Meeting.

The League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy. The League will finalize and distribute a packet of resolutions by the end of September.
