Summary of Funding Request – Santa Maria Sports Complex Project
The request is for an additional $5,530,000 in funding for the Santa Maria Sports Complex (SMSC) project to cover costs associated with delivering all grant-committed improvements and increased construction management support. This request represents new funding in addition to the previously awarded contingency amount of $3,412,140 and reflects updated costs in the following key areas:

Redesign and construction of the onsite irrigation well are necessary to meet updated operational and water- supply requirements identified during the design phase.
Change Orders – $499,840:
Costs associated with approved and anticipated contract change orders, including unforeseen site conditions and design clarifications needed to complete the full scope of improvements.
