A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
INSIGHT PUBLIC SECTOR INC. FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
MOBILE DATA COMPUTERS, MOUNTING EQUIPMENT,
MOBILE ROUTERS AND RADIO ANTENNAS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $831,831.20
WHEREAS, the City’s existing Mobile Data Computers, Mounting Equipment, Cradlepoint Mobile Routers and Radio Antennas have passed their useful life; and
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division conducted a months -long equipment field testing of similar technologies and concluded that the equipment solution proposed by Insight Public Sector Inc is the most reliable and cost-effective; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Panasonic, Mobile Mounts, Cradlepoint and Panorama equipment will be purchased using Business and Communications Equipment Reserves collected by the Finance Department in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approving an Agreement with Insight Public Sector Inc. in the amount of $831,831.20; and
SECTION 2. Authorizing the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute the Agreement; and
SECTION 3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
