A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR
THE 2027 GRANT PROGRAM CYCLE OF THE
CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY SELECTIVE
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria desires to provide additional traffic safety services for City residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria has determined that it is in the public interest to seek and apply for supplemental funding sources for the purposes of public safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager , or designee, is hereby authorized to submit a grant application, appropriate and expend funds awarded to the Santa Maria Police Department pursuant to the California Office of Traffic Safety Selective Traffic Enforcement Grant Program; and
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to m ake m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
