A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE SELECTION OF THE MEJORANDO GROUP TO
PROVIDE STRATEGIC PLANNING AND GOAL SETTING
SESSION FACILITATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria is seeking a firm to provide Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Facilitator Services; and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2025, the City issued a Request for Proposals seeking qualified firms to provide facilitation services for a Strategic Planning and Goal Setting workshop with City Council; and
WHEREAS, five proposals were received and evaluated according to the criteria set forth in the RFP, and The Mejorando Group has been determined the most qualified consultant with the necessary expertise and resources to perform the work; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work includes engaging staff and identifying resource materials, obtaining input from the Mayor and Council regarding current goals and developing measurable outcomes, designing and facilitating a City Council workshop and preparing a summary report.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council has chosen The Mejorando Group to pro vide strategic planning and goal-setting session facilitation services; and
SECTION 2. Authorize the City Manager , or designee, to award, negotiat e, and execute an agreement with the selected company; and
SECTION 3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
