City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
Since 2016, the City of Santa Maria has
proudly recognized residents who serve, or
have served, n the U.S. Armed Forces and
public service.
These individuals represent courage,
commitment, and service to others both at
home and beyond.
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
Honorees may be active duty, retired, or
honorably discharged members of the United
States Armed Forces, including those who have
lost their lives in the line of duty.
The U.S. Armed Forces include the Air Force,
Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy.
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
Since its beginning, the Hometown Heroes
Program has recognized over 200 individuals
for their service.
This evening, we honor six outstanding
Hometown Heroes from Santa Maria.
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
To honor their service, each Hometown Hero
receives a Certificate of Appreciation and is
recognized with a commemorative banner
displayed along College Drive for six months.
