Proclamation
WHEREAS, for over 3 7 years the Central Coast Citizens for Family and Life have been celebrating “Respect for Life Week” in Santa Maria; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that residents of th e community defend human life at all ages and conditions of dependency, and protect the disabled, the handicapped, and those defenseless in every way; and
WHEREAS, this year’s Lifewalk 202 6 is scheduled for Sunday, June 2 8th at 2:00 p.m. in the City Hall Parking Lot and “Respect for Life Week” is being celebrated January 18th through January 24th; and
WHEREAS, respect for life is a vital issue that invites full public awareness.;.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALICE M. PATINO, Mayor of the City of Santa Maria, hereby recognize the week of January 18 through January 24, 2026, as:
“RESPECT FOR LIFE WEEK”
in the City of Santa Maria and encourage full awareness of the issue.
