SUBJECT: Proclamation Proclaiming February 21 through 28, 2026, as “National Future Farmers of America Week”.
The City Council will present a Proclamation proclaiming January 21 through 28, 2026, as “National Future Farmers of America Week” in the City of Santa Maria.
BACKGROUND:
Future Farmers of America (FFA) and agricultural education play a vital role in preparing youth for the future of agriculture by fostering leadership, personal growth, career readiness, and community service. Through hands -on learning and strong values, FFA helps develop the next genera tion of professionals in food, fiber, and natural resource systems, while promoting citizenship, volunteerism, and cooperation.
