RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING CITY COUNCIL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
FOR FISCAL YEARS 2026-28
WHEREAS, the City Council considers and approves goals and objectives to provide direction on priorities and alignment of goals with the City’s biennial budget; and
WHEREAS, the City engaged the services of Patrick Ibarra of The Mejorando Group to assist the City Council in a goal-setting workshop on February 28, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the session addressed roles and expectations, effective governance, recent accomplishments, community and global trends, and establishing City goal and objectives; and
WHEREAS, the workshop was very productive with the City Council identifying ten goals, with accompanying objectives and descriptions, that they would like staff to address during the next two-year period.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of t he City of Santa Maria, California , that consensus is confirmed on the City-wide Goals and Objectives for Fiscal Years 2026-28 as reflected in the Table of Goals and Objectives for Fiscal Years 2026-28 (Exhibit “A”).
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, held this 5th day of May 2026.
