A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH WEST COAST ARBORIST, INC.
FOR URBAN FOREST MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025 , the City Council of the City of Santa Maria approved an Agreement for Professional Services Urban Forest Maintenance for a 24- month period; and
WHEREAS, West Coast Arborist, Inc. was awarded the contract Agreement; and
WHEREAS, additional work for Oak Moth trea tment, tree removal in the right -of- way (Public Works projects), and root pruning was completed; and
WHEREAS, contract Agreement funds have been nearly spent; and
WHEREAS, there is additional tree maintenance work to be completed; and
WHEREAS, budgets have been reviewed, and adequate funding has been identified.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approved Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with West Coast Arborist, Inc.
SECTION 2. Authorized additional increase of $100,000 to the contract from $300,000 to a not to exceed amount of $400,000.00 for the current fiscal year.
SECTION 3. Authorized City Manager or designee to execute agreement and take all necessary steps to complete these proceedings.
SECTION 4. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
