AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Professional Services between West Coast Arborist, Inc. (WCA) a California Corporation (“Contractor”), and the City of Santa Maria, a California Municipal Corporation and charter city (“City”), in Santa Maria, California, based on the following recitals:
1. West Coast Arborist , Inc. (WCA) submitted a proposal that the City deemed acceptable and has extensive knowledge and is qualified to provide the services needed and is willing to provide those services on mutually agreeable terms; and
2. The parties entered into an Agreement for Profession al Services on February 18, 2025; and
3. WCA was authorized to provide tree maintenance services within the scope of work of the Agreement with a not -to-exceed amount of $300,000.00 per year under the agreement; and
4. WCA has performed citywide tree maintenance and removals as directed by City staff; and
5. Additional, unanticipated work was needed for Oak Moth treatment, tree removals in the right-of-way (Public Works projects), and root pruning; and
6. The total spend for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 has reached $______ and an increase in the not-to-exceed amount for the contract is necessary before work can continue within the Fiscal Year; and
7. Additional funds are available from the Gas Tax, Measure A and Landscape Districts accounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED:
1. The not-to-exceed amount is to be increased from $300,000 to $400,000 for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
2. The City Manager or their designee is authorized to execute this agreement.
3. All other terms of the Agreement remain unchanged.
