SUBJECT: Adoption of Ordinance No. 2026-03 Approving Solid Waste Collection Rates Commencing Each July 1 from 2026 Through 2029
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council waive second reading and adopt O rdinance No. 2026-03, approving solid waste collection rates commencing each July 1 from 2026 to 2029.
BACKGROUND:
At its regular meeting held on May 6, 2026 , the City Council introduced Ordinance No. 2026-03 to set solid waste collection rates as of July 1, 2026, July 1, 2027, July 1, 2028, and July 1, 2029 as described in the Proposition 218 Notice of Public Hearing: Proposed Rate Adjustments to Solid Waste Collection Rates Commencing July 1, 2026.
This constitutes the second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2026-03, which becomes effective 30 days after City Council adoption.
