A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SANTA MARIA
PUBLIC AIRPORT DISTRICT FOR AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND
FIREFIGHTING (ARFF) SERVICES, CONTINGENT UPON
APPROVAL BY THE AIRPORT DISTRICT’S BOARD
WHEREAS, the Santa Maria Public Airport District issued a Request for Proposal for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting services on April 4, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City submitted a proposal and was picked to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Maria Public Airport District will be taking the agreement to their Board on June 25, 2026, for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement on behalf of the City contingent upon approval by the Airport District’s Board, and to take all steps necessary to implement and sustain the program.
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
