A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE LETTER AGREEMENT
WITH ALESHIRE AND WYNDER, LLP. FOR
CONTINUED LEGAL EMPLOYMENT AND
LABOR SERVICES AND AN INCREASE IN THE
AMOUNT OF $100,000 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $450,000
WHEREAS, the City and Aleshire and Wynder, LLP entered into a Letter Agreement on March 13, 2025, and amended on December 2, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City and Aleshire and Wynder, LLP desire to amend the Letter Agreement to a not to exceed total amount of $450,000; and
WHEREAS, the City has spent approximately $ 350,000 under the current Letter Agreement;
WHEREAS, funding for this service has been included in the current fiscal year’s budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREB Y RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approved amendment to the Letter Agreement with Aleshire and Wynder, LLP for labor and employment legal representation services; and
SECTION 2. Approved an in crease of $100,000 for a total amount of $450,000; and
SECTION 3. Authorized the City Manager , or designee, to execute agreement; and
SECTION 4. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
