Description:
The City Council will receive and file the 2025 Annual Police Department Report.
Environmental Notice: The activity is not a “Project” as defined under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines; therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3) no environmental review is required.
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive and file the 2025 Annual Police Department Report.
BACKGROUND:
Police Department Staff prepares the Annual Report to memorialize accomplishments and milestones for the year.
DISCUSSION:
The report encompasses statistics, staffing changes, training milestones, and various events. This is an effective way to show Santa Maria residents and City Council what the Police Department does on an annual basis. This report is also a reference tool f or planning and budgeting.
Fiscal Considerations
The document is a reference tool that may be used to assist in budgeting.
Impact on the Community
The community receives information that assists in their understanding of Police Department Operations.
