SUBJECT: Proclamation Recognizing Ann McCarty
The City Council will present a Proclamation honoring Ann McCarty for her decades of dedicated service, compassionate leadership, and lasting contributions to the community.
BACKGROUND:
The Proclamation honors Ann McCarty for more than 30 years of dedicated service and leadership with the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center. Ann began her career with the Center in 1994 as the Hotline Coordinator and later became Executive Director in 2015, where she guided the organization’s mission of providing education, prevention, advocacy, and support services to individuals and families impacted by sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking. Through her compassionate leadership, community partnerships, and lifelong commitment to advocacy, Ann has made a lasting impact throughout Santa Barbara County. The City of Santa Mar ia honors Ann for her years of service to the community.
