AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT
This Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan Update, dated October 21, 2025, is made on July 7 , 2026, by and between SZS Engineering Access, Inc., a California corporation ("Consultant"), and the City of Santa Maria, a California municipal corporation and charter city ("City"), in Santa Maria, California, based on the following recitals:
1. On October 21, 2025, the City and Consultant entered into a Professional Services Agreement for preparation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self- Evaluation and Transition Plan Update in an amount not to exceed $599,735;
2. The City desires to increase the not-to-exceed amount to provide for additional ADA accessibility assessments and reporting for the Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Enos House/Japanese Community Center, as well as expanded Public Rights-of-Way assessments including sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, and pedestrian signals; and
3. The Consultant agrees to the increase in compensation as set forth below, and both parties wish to amend the Agreement accordingly.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED:
1. The total not-to-exceed amount under the Agreement is hereby increased by $90,335;
2. The new total not-to-exceed amount under the Agreement shall be $690,070; and
3. All other terms of the Agreement remain unchanged.
