AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This Amendment No. 2 to Agreement for Professional Services between J.D. Humann Landscaping, Inc., a California Corporation (“Contractor”) and the City of Santa Maria, a California Municipal Corporation and charter city (“City”), in Santa Maria, California, based on the following recitals:
1. J.D. Humann submitted a proposal (RP-2025-01) that the City deemed acceptable and has extensive knowledge and is qualified to provide the services needed and is willing to provide those services on mutually agreeable terms; and
2. The parties entered into an Agreement for Professional Services on July 1, 2025; and
3. On May 5, 2026 , J.D. Humann was authorized to provide Extra Services of up to $450,000 per year under Exhibit “C” of the agreement. Staff directed J.D. Humann to perform approved landscape renovations throughout the City Landscape Maintenance Districts. This work has been performed and accepted by City staff; and
4. Additional Extra Services authorized in Exhibit C are necessary during the remainder of Fiscal Year 2025 -2026 and during Fiscal Year 2026 -2027 in the amount of $195,268; and
5. The City will continue to implement the landscape services contract with JD Humann landscaping, Inc. for Fiscal year 2026-2027 and will add newly assessed district and zones to the scope of services; and
6. To meet this obligation with added areas, the city needs to increase the base contract amount by $86,000 for Fiscal Year 2026-2027
7. Appropriate funds are available from the Landscape Districts accounts and there is no impact to the General Fund; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED:
1. The not-to-exceed amount of $450,000 for Exhibit C Extra Work Services for Contract RP- 2025-01 is increased to $645,268 for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 and Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
2. The base contract amount of $1,083,148 for Contract RP-2025-01 is increased to $1,169,148 for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
3. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute this agreement.
4. All other terms of the Agreement remain unchanged.
