Recognizing City of Santa Maria
Hometown Heroes
2026
City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
The City of Santa Maria Hometown Heroes
Program was created in 2016 to honor Santa
Maria City residents who serve or have
served in the United States Armed Forces or
public service.
These individuals represent courage,
commitment, and a dedication to serving
others, both at home and beyond.

Since it’s inception, the Hometown Heroes
Program has recognized over 250 individuals
for their service.
To honor their service, each Hometown Hero
receives a Certificate of Appreciation and is
recognized with a commemorative banner
displayed along College Drive for six months.
