Proclamation
WHEREAS, Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center of Santa Maria, a Christ - centered ministry, has served local women, men, and families for 36 years, providing compassionate care, practical suppor t, and resources to those facing pregnancy and parenting decisions; and
WHEREAS, since 1990, Care Net has provided pregnancy tests, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, parenting education, material assistance, peer counseling, and post -abortion healing serv ices in accordance with applicable laws, with the support of dedicated staff, volunteers, medical professionals, and community partners; and
WHEREAS, Care Net has expanded its services to meet community needs while remaining committed to compassionate, li fe-affirming care and helping individuals and families with help, hope, and healing; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria recognizes the valuable contributions of organizations that strengthen families, provide practical assistance to those in need, and promote the health and well -being of the community, and acknowledges Care Net’s longstanding commitment to serving residents of the Santa Maria Valley.
NOW, THEREFORE, I ALICE M. PATINO, Mayor of the City of Santa Maria hereby recognize and celebrate:
“Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center”
in the City of Santa Maria for its dedicated 36 years of service to the community, and extends its appreciation to the staff, volunteers, medical team, supporters, and community partners who have contributed to its continued service to local families.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and have caused the Seal of the City of Santa Maria to be affixed hereto this 15th day of September 2026.
