SUBJECT: Proclamation – Recognizing Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center of Santa Maria
The City Council will present a Proclamation recognizing Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center in the City of Santa Maria.
BACKGROUND:
Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center of Santa Maria has served the Santa Maria Valley for 36 years since its founding in 1990. The organization provides support and resources to individuals and families facing pregnancy and parenting decisions, including pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, parenting education, material assistance, peer counseling, and abortion healing services. Car e Net serves community members with dignity, compassion, and respect, and its work is supported by staff, medical professionals, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community partners.
The City of Santa Maria recognizes Care Net’s longstanding commitmen t to supporting local individuals and families and its contributions to the health and well -being of the community. The proclamation celebrates 36 years of service and expresses appreciation to Care Net’s staff, volunteers, medical team, supporters, and community partners.
