A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
DECLARING THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA’S FIRE ENGINE 101
TO BE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZE THE DONATION
OF THE ENGINE TO THE CITY OF GUADALUPE
WHEREAS, the Santa Maria Fire Department has determined a fire engine to be surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the donation of the fire engine to the City of Guadalupe will provide Guadalupe the ability to provide much-improved fire and lifesaving services to their community.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. One 2003 Spartan Gladiator LFD Type-1 Engine (Unit 101) is hereby declared surplus property, and said surplus property is authorized to be donated to the City of Guadalupe for the Guadalupe Fire Station.
SECTION 2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
