SUBJECT: Proclamation Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments
The City Council will present a proclamation commemorating the “60th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County of Association of Governments” in the City of Santa Maria.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Santa Maria is commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG). Since 1966, local governments throughout Santa Barbara County have worked together to address regional challenges, coordinate transportation planning and funding, and improve connections between communities. The proclamation recognizes six decades of regional collaboration and reaffirms Santa Maria’s commitment to working with neighboring jurisdictions to advance shared priorities and strengthen communities throughout the county.
