A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
AWARDING A SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT TO
MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR
OF RADIO SYSTEM AND AUDIO LOGGING SUPPORT
WHEREAS, The City’s existing Motorola Radio and Audio Logging 10-year contract is expiring February 2027; and
WHEREAS, The City needs to maintain support and maintenance on the radio and audio logging system since it supports public safety; and WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division worked with Motorola to obtain another year of support covering the same support and maintenance for continued operations of radio and audio logging operations; and WHEREAS, the proposed purchasing agreement will be purchased with a sole source and in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approving a Purchase Agreement to Motorola Solutions for a purchase price of $320,853.97.
SECTION 2. Authorizing the City Manager or designee to execute the Purchase Agreement;
SECTION 3. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
