A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING A DONATION OF COMPUTERS TO
ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE, SANTA MARIA VALLEY
HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM, AND THE CHILDRENS
RESOURCE & REFERRAL DISCOVERY MUSEUM
WHEREAS, the City has old computers and network hardware that have reached their useful life and have already been replaced;and
WHEREAS, there is a request for these computers to be donated to other non-profit agencies within the Santa Maria city limits in lieu of e-wasting them; and WHEREAS, the Information Technology Division has cleaned and wiped the computers and hard drives of any City related images, data and information; and WHEREAS, the proposed recipients and quantity is: Allan Hancock College – 6 Mobile Data Computers (MDCs), and supporting mounting hardware, 6 Cradlepoint wireless network routers, Santa Maria Valley Historical Society Museum – 2 Dell workstation computers, Children’s Resource & Referral Discovery Museum – 1 Dell workstation computer.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. Approving the donation of computers to Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria Valley Historical Society Museum, and the Children’s Resource & Referral Discovery Museum.
SECTION 2 . The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make minor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
